Between Classes:
Visual Diary of a Graduate Student
Background
Between Classes is an illustration book designed with the support of the Arts at Tech initiative. The idea started when I had to spend my first summer on the empty campus and filled my time sketching around.
Later, I turned this idea into a book, portraying my experiences and observations on illustrated pages, hoping to share the experiences of being a graduate student balancing life responsibilities.
Process
The book took approximately four months to complete. It began with hours spent observing life on campus, followed by discussions and the discovery of shared experiences. I sketched initial ideas and illustrated them using Procreate. Afterward, I printed some copies through an online print house. The books are hosted in the GT library and other locations around campus.
