Story
This community-based design is related to my interaction class with my dear team member Marie Ow. We were assigned to design an interactive platform based on the needs of the community we picked. We chose the Digital Media faculty at the Georgia Institute of Technology. After conducting the first set of interviews, we gathered data, and by analyzing the data, we concluded some main themes. Based on one of those themes, we designed a platform to make their life easier.
Need
One of the most common themes in our interviews was related to their work-life balance and how thier life quality is being affected. The project is designed and protoyped in Figma.
Design Iteration
Based on the theme analysis, we began design iteration and brainstorming. Ultimately, we created a platform where professors can indicate their availability. This allows others to check a professor's profile before requesting collaboration, research advisory, or any academic partnership.

Final Design
The final design consists of two layers: one for students and one for professors. Students can log into the system, check the availability of professors, and then submit collaboration requests. Professors can log in to manage the requests, update their availability, and handle their upcoming workflow.
